Hello,
I have some questions about how widely used an automated tracing and morphometry
package would be in either a clinical or research setting. The package would allow
2D and 3D images containing structures such as neurons and vasculature to be traced
and provide morphometric information. Morphometrics include lengths/width, surface
areas, volumes, and tortuosity information.
First, how widely would something like this be used?
Second, would this be used more regularly in a research or clinical setting?
Third, does anyone have any idea how many potential sites(clinical or research
based) there are (US or otherwise)?
Finally, who would be the possible users of such a system/package?

Any input on this topic will be appreciated.

Thanks,
