Dear Marius,
I will be very interested in getting a link (or participating, what ever is
possible) to the web-seminar hosted by Sylvain Costes on colocalization
studies.
I hope i can get one of those limited seats.
Thanks in advance,
Sincerely,

Subject: Colocalization software woes
Search the CONFOCAL archive at
http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal
Dear all,
Lately I have been testing different commercially available software
packages to quantify colocalization in confocal images. So far I have tested
Colocalizer Pro for MacOS X, the colocalization module of Bio-Rad's
Lasersharp 2000, and the Fluorescence CV plugin of IPlab. When I analyze the
same image with all three packages, I get very different values for the same
parameter. For instance, Pearson's correlation coëfficient can vary between
0.13 and 0.81 depending on which program performs the math.
Does anyone else have similar findings? I would really like to know which
program I can rely on.
Thanks in advance for input.
Jack
