Hi Michal, we had an Ar/Kr laser replace on our Zeiss LSM 410 in September
2000 here what Zeiss had charge us to replace it (there is probably some
inflation since then):<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns =

Travel from Toronto to Ottawa: ($80//hr): $ 1140.00 CAN
Installation ($159.00/hr): $2385.00
CAN
They did a great job and we were very satisfied with everything.

Subject: Curious
Dear All,
Curiosity eats me.
After a shutter in my MRC 600 went kaput I was given a quote for a Bio-Rad
technician's travel and labour expenses.
Travel (within the city's area) costs $ CAD 278 ($ US 175 or 200 euro) per
hour.
Labour cost is $ CAD 355 ($ US 223 or 255 euro) per hour.
I am paying as I have very little choice. However, are not such quotes
exorbitant? I was, quite frankly, surprised to say the least.
Thanks for your input.
Cheers
Michal
PS
It is also apparent that I should consider a letter to the Dean regarding my
salary.
But then, again...
