Guy;

The DP Digital Series Cameras are truly "Digital" color photomicrography.
I don't have a "Lux Sensitivity" specification, but the following may help:

Sensitivity: equivalent to ISO 200
Metering system: TTL Central measuring/spot measuring
Exposure time:1/4 - 1/10,000 sec.
Auto White Balance

I wouldn't compare this to a cooled CCD sensor. It will take excellent images of fluorescence samples that have a strong signal, and it does have bracketing capabilities, as well as, spot metering. However, it should not be confused with fluorescence detectors that would be utilized for quantitative applications.

Hope this helps.

Charles, what is the lux detectability level? I am looking for a digital
camera as well, but am primarily interested in fluorescence microscopy.
What is your experience with the DP-10 in this area? To date, I have only
used the Optronics cooled CCD cameras. Any other comments from the
listserve are appreciated.

Thank you,

-Guy
