Hi all. The HBO 103 bulb uses a 22V voltage while the 100 W/2 uses 20V.
In my experience, it has been okay to use the new bulbs with the old
power supplies, although some users have experienced shorter bulb
lifetimes. However, I would NOT recommend using the old bulbs with the
new power supplies as delivering a higher voltage could have serious
consequences (ie exploding bulb).

In the end however, I would suggest that it is always best to use the
bulbs that are recommended for your power supply by your microscope rep.

Cheers!
Mike

we've always used the (HBO 103) in our 100 W/2 housing units.
