With the exception of UV probes, we have found no benefits of MP for cell
cultures, and even with UV probes, we've found wavelengths that rapidly
kill the cells.

But for imaging deep in live tissue or thick slices of fixed tissue, the
MP is essential. We have done crisp time lapse imaging in tissues that
cannot be imaged by regular confocal or widefield.
