Can anyone tell us which one of the four forms of verapamil that 
Sigma-Aldrich offers (below) we should add to cell cultures, in which we 
are using Hoechst 33342 to stain for ploidy/cell cycle, in order to 
stop/lessen the efflux of Hoechst that occurs in some cells.

hydrochloride
hydrochloride hydrate
monohydrochloride monohydrate
and, methoxyverapamil hydrochloride
