Hi Perveen,
If DABCO is transparent then it does not absorb any visible light. As for
quenching any green (or other) dye inside a bead - irrelevant since the bead
shell protects the dyes from the environment.

I just wanted to thank everyone who replied to my original query. I've
been able to collect signal with an 488 excitation by increasing the
bandwith of my emission filter from BP505-530nm to a BP505-600nm.
Mounting the beads in just glycerol (without any dabco) increased the
brightness of the beads. Does anybody know if dabco quenches green
light? I know it quench light at around 300nm.
Thanks again to everyone.
