General Fiber has solid silica silica clad fibers up to 1.5 mm as I recall.
They are stiff and will age, but are excellent.

Subject: silica optical fibre

Dear List Members,

We want to introduce an additional UV laser line on to our confocal
system with an optical fibre. Does any one know where to buy all-silica
fibre with a diameter of 1 mm. Newport sells these fibres with diameter
up to 0.2 mm only. Thanks for the information.
