Hello,
We are in the process of buying a new confocal to look at cardiac myocytes
and calcium transients/labelled molecule movement. One of the confocals that
seems to fulfill all our wishes is the Leica TCS-2 RS. we are impressed with
the specifications for scanning speed; up to 8000 lines/s and a frame rate
of at least 58 frames/s. Is there anybody on the list who is using this (or
the previous model) who can has experience of what scan speeds and frame
rates can be achieved under experimental conditions. Typically during an
experiment we would require five to ten multiple sequential acquistions as
rapidly as possible from a single cell and then move to another cell in the
same dish.
Thanks in advance for any information that you can provide.
