Dear Joe,

A possible source of software could be the group of Assoc. Prof. Paul Fisher at La Trobe Uni. Melbourne. He has developed his own programs over the years for tracking the movement of slime-mould "slugs" and individual whole amoebae, and might perhaps be able to help you.
His URL is:
http://www.latrobe.edu.au/mcbg/my.html
Good luck in your hunting.

Subject: Tracking software

Search the CONFOCAL archive at

Looking for tracking software to measure rates and variations of
rates of movement of particles and organelles and leading edges from time
sequence confocal images of live cells. Any other software other than
Metamorph that will do this? Would like feed back from Metamorph users as
to ease of use, problems, limitations etc.
