Hi all,

I agree with Dave... Only good for "pretty pictures". But sometimes, that's
all that is needed... I would add that you can connect the Coolpix 950 (and
most other Coolpix models) to a external monitor for live viewing, set the
camera on auto focus and acquire the image when it looks sharp on the
monitor. It works well for brightfield images or bright fluorescent
samples. However, for low light fluorescent acquisitions, auto focus gets a
bit tricky to use but it still works.
