I've looked at quantum dots on the multiphoton, epifluorescence & confocal
systems and have been very impressed by their stability. But they were
conjugated to nothing, so they were not useful for any of the biology being
done here. Also, the size appeared to vary (or they were clumping).
How big are the dots in your kit? And is there one dot per steptavidin or
do the number vary? And per steptavidin, is the intensity constant or
varying (e.g. dots have different efficiency, size, number, or angle).
