Dear All,
Although the main focus of the below advertised position is not
necessarily microscopy, but the past discussions showed that there are
many HT-screening experts reading this list, so still I find it useful
to advertise it here. I'd very much appreciate if you could spread it

The Light Microscopy Centre of the ETH Zurich is looking for a Head of
Screening Unit
The future Head of Screening Unit will be responsible for the
implementation and operation of the RNAi Image-based Screening Centre
(RISC), a SystemsX Glue project of the Light Microscopy Centre at the
ETH Zurich. The tasks include facility management, and the coordination
and development of different screening projects within the SystemsX/ETH
Zurich partners. He/she will (a) be responsible for the daily operation
of the facility (b) help the users with their screens (c) develop new
innovative screens based on siRNA or cDNA technologies together with a
small team. His/her tasks will also include quality management of the
different projects and intensive communication with SystemsX/ETH Zurich
partners.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications : PhD degree,
preferably in molecular- or cell-biology or related fields; extensive
experience with different cellular transfection systems; strong
background with robotic systems; integrative leader personality;
project management and controlling skills; excellent negotiation and
communication skills
