Thank you all for the discussion on lighting options. I did not post the names 
of what we used now, but noticing the interested perhaps I should have.

We are currently using Dot-It for parts of the optical bench. An example is:

I have noticed now there is a directional version, that could be interesting for 
the stage.

For the microscope stage I often use this lamp from Thorlabs.
