I am using a Bio-Rad MRC600 to acquire images which I then measure,
on another computer, using Image-1 software (UIC). I save these files with
the bio-rad "BOX" set to 512 x 480 so that they will match up to the
Image-1 frame store buffer. The Image-1 normally reads the bio-rad.pic
files just fine but last week I ran into a problem. Some of the files that
I move to the Image-1 machine will not load. Image-1 shows part of the
header file in what they call the "annotation file" and the files that will
not open have missing/scrambled lines. The bio-rad (Comos) continues to
open these files just fine.
I've tried different FTPs and even moving some of the 'bad' files
on disk, they still won't open.
I can import the images (bio-rad.pic) into photoshop as raw data
and re-save them there as a Tiff and the Image-1 machine will then read
them. But I have a couple of hundred, or more, and that is rather slow.
I'm also looking for a NIH-Image macro that might do batch conversions for
me but none of the work-arounds address the original problem. Any ideas?
Anyone have a similar problem?
Any/all help will be greatly appreciated,
