Amiloride is a sodium channel blocker that is quite effective at blocking
the epithelial Na transport, and reducing the transepithelial potential.
According to the Sigma catalog it also blocks T-type calcium channels and
Na+/H+ antiport.
I expect it will have many  effects  on cell function other than inhibiting
pinocytosis. We have used it as to disrupt embryo development.
