In response to the recent questions about the new Olympus Fluoview CLSM:
 
The piezo-electric Z scanner options (a stage driver for the BX50  upright
microscope and a nosepiece driver  for the IX 70 inverted microscope) will be
available around May 1996.
 
The preliminary specifications are as follows:
 
Stroke range: 100 um
Resolution 0.1um
 
(No piezo-electric Z scanner option will be available for the BX50WI fixed-stage
upright microscope.)
