I received a first-hand report of the Duluth Glaucous-winged Gull on 31 December.

Yesterday I spoke with Duluth folks, and if memory serves then none of them knew about 1 January, but they told me that the gull was NOT seen on 2 January – and I can say from personal experience that it was NOT seen on 3 January, either.

What this means about the bird’s presence in the area is hard to say.
