This morning I observed a Surf Scoter on Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, Hennepin County.  The raw winds and the rain/sleet/snow mix as the temperatures dropped would make it difficult to clearly see the SUSC without a scope as it stayed in the middle of the lake.
