About 4.30pm, re-located a suspected Pacific Loon in the Bayport (Breezewood road) bay (westernmost finger bay ) of Lake Koronis-Stearns County S-SW of Paynesville S of Hwy 23 along CR 20. A few fall plumaged Common Loons on the lake look like floating logs in comparison, this one had nice silver rounded head, short bill and body. No hoped for Scoters, no rafts of ducks, but for a few thousand Coots. Also, perhaps of interest, counted 195 Cackling Geese on Albany's North Lake last Fri afternoon (29th), a greatly increased count from last year about this time. mjb
