This is the Minnesota Birding Report for August 12th, 2010.

A possible first-cycle LAUGHING GULL was reported from Houston County on
the 7th. The location was along state highway 26 about four miles south
of Brownsville on the island in the Mississippi River about a quarter
mile east of the wooden viewing platform. This bird was not refound on
the 8th.

Southbound migrants reported over the past week include AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVER, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, RED-NECKED PHALAROPE,
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER, and BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER.

The next scheduled update of this tape is Thursday, August 19th, 2010.
