Hey birders,

While manning the hawkwatch at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato
yesterday morning I had a single female White-winged Crossbill fly in and
perch cooperatively on a nearby spruce. With Pine Siskin and Purple Finch
also for the day, it makes me wonder what kind of winter we’re heading into.

Happy birding!
