This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Wednesday April 10th, 2013.

A CINNAMON TEAL has been at the southeast corner of the Silver Creek
Reservoir near Rochester in Olmsted County since the 8th. The Reservoir
is along 55th Avenue NE just north of Silver Creek Road.

On the 9th, a BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was still being seen off the 19th
Street public access of Park Point in Duluth. Another was at the Coon
Rapids Dam on the Anoka-Hennepin County line on the 8th.

Dedrick Benz found an adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL on the 7th at the
Prairie Island spillway in Winona County.

Also on the 8th, Dana Mucha reported a VARIED THRUSH in Golden Valley,
Hennepin County, near the Theodore Wirth Golf Course.

Far south was the COMMON RAVEN reported on the 6th in Woodbury,
Washington County. The bird was along Lake Road near I-494.

Brian Smith found a AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER in Brown County on the 6th.
Other spring arrivals include BUFFLEHEAD, RED-BREASTED MERGANSER, COMMON
LOON, GREAT EGRET, PECTORAL SANDPIPER, TREE SWALLOW, YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLER, FOX SPARROW, and EASTERN MEADOWLARK.
