Perhaps you could use a SCSI-compatible camera and a Firewire-SCSI
converter?  We were just investigating the Spot RT camera, and our
rep indicated that it came in a SCSI version (we went with the PCI
version, for other reasons).  I do not know if the software and/or
camera would accept this conversion, though, so you'd probably want
to experiment with an available model.
