Hi Listers,

I am interested in knowing if anyone has experience with non polar solvent
dyes/histological stains that are intended
to mark water soluble compounds? I am trying to evaluate the distribution
of water soluble analytes in wood and am
concerned about relocating them. The dyes I intend to use are either
Azomethine A or Curcumin to look at borate ion
and am looking for Zn, Ca, Na, Ba, and Cu specific stains. I welcome
suggestions and personal experience stories.

Best regards,

Glenn
