Richard,

Take a look at DVC and Optronics. They both have cameras which are
reasonably priced and have a 12 to 15 frame per second preview. The preview
is full screen, if you want it. This allows the camera to be used for
discussions and quick acquisition of focus and position. The quick preview
helps in minimizing fluorescence photo bleaching. Both cameras are offered
as color and monochrome and have easy to use control software for multi use
labs. Software is offered for both MAC and/or PC operating systems.
Connection is with a IEEE1394 (Firewire) interface.

Optronics: www.optronics.com

Camera manufacturing and dealer support is offered worldwide.

Good luck,

Mike
