Cellular Imaging Facility Manager
The Toronto Western Research Institute (TWRI) is recruiting a manager to
run a Cellular Imaging Facility centered on four newly purchased Zeiss
microscopes for confocal, laser capture (PALM), deconvolution and
time-lapse/injection microscopy. TWRI is a multidisciplinary research
centre with over 60 scientists and strong basic research programs in
Neuroscience, Vision and Immunology together with complementary clinical
research programs.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master’s degree or
equivalent, experience in biological/cellular research, expert skills in
fluorescence microscopy, ease with microscopes, computers and relevant
software, strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, and the
ability to manage a budget. Experience in cell preparation for
microscopy, tissue sectioning, image processing and work with live cells
are all advantages. The facility manager will report to a guidance
committee and the Head of the Cellular and Molecular Biology Division.
