Dear listers,

we are using Ar/Kr lasers (Omnichrome Series 43) with our Leica SP and Leica NT
systems. The last one lasted 8 months and less than 1000 working hours, the one
we are using now is slowly dying after 1500 h. For the NT system, the Ar/Kr
laser is the only option, and the Leica rep told me they can only offer me the
same Omnichrome laser again which would cost me around 8000 €. Is this really
the only choice? Has any one of you used the Leica NT with different lasers -
escpecially cheaper ones?

Any advice is most welcome.

Volker
