Advertisement for Research Assistant Position:

The Keck Center for Cellular Imaging (KCCI; www.cci.virginia.edu) at
the University of Virginia is one of the leading centers in advanced
light microscopy imaging. We are looking for Research Assistant with
a Masters degree in Computer Science.  Should have experience in the
state-of-the-art light microscopy imaging and data analysis including
wide-field, confocal, multiphoton, fluorescence resonance energy
transfer (FRET), fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), and second
harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy systems. Major responsibility of
this Research Assistant position includes design and development of
advanced FRET and FLIM data analysis software for various biological
applications. This person also has the responsibility to manage,
maintain, and operate the existing and newly developed imaging
systems at KCCI. This position also includes the responsibility to
train and collaborate with the participating faculty laboratories
(students & staff) in the use of KCCI, including participation in the
