The NSF-Funded Center for Subsurface Sensing and Imaging Systems
(CenSSIS) based at Northeastern University, is seeking a postdoctoral
fellow for research in microscopy. The candidate is expected to have a
Ph.D. in bio-engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related
discipline, and experience with optical imaging, microscopes, and signal
processing.
This individual will work with a team of faculty and students from
biology, optical engineering, computer engineering, and signal
processing, will use unique microscopes developed by our group, will
maintain and operate the microscopes, and will collect images of
biological specimens and analyze them.
Experience handling biological specimens, a good understanding of
optics, and a working knowledge of Matlab are essentials.
