Hi Ken,

I see no reason why you can't proceed with your patch clamp work and also
have the light go through the spinning disk. You will need a camera that is
capable of triggering a shutter and then software that is capable of
triggering image capture from these pulses. All the spinning disk is (in
the case of the BD/Atto CARV II) is a piece of hardware that sits in the
light path generating a confccal image. That part is independent of whether
you are doing patch clamp or not.

Jim

Hello,

Does anyone know whether or not it is possible to do patch clamp onto a
cell, and image with a spinning disk type confocal? Does the spinning disk
systems create any vibratiion or noise?

Thanks in advance,
Ken
