When trying to switch back & forth between FACS & the microscope I find the
Alexa488/Alexa647 pair to be good option. Both are photostable and bright.
They also fit nicely into the FL1 & FL4 windows on most cytometers. In fact,
we usually find it useful to perform our initial 1°/2° titrations on the
FACS. This allows us to quickly scan through varied conditions for minimal
background and high specific fluorescence.

    Hope this helps,

    -Steve
