There is no way you can make the software work with the parallel to USB
conversion as this is not recognized by the software. But in my opinion the
upgrade to Parallel to USB should not be costly and you could speak with
your IA Dealer.

Hello,
      We have a old version of Image Pro Plus software ver 4.5 which runs
via a parallel port key.

Recently our old computer crashed and we upgraded to a new one. We found
that the new computers don't have a parallel port to plug the key.

Upgrading the software is out of our budget to get the USB key.

Is there a way to make the parallel key work with a USB. I tried the USB
to Parallel converting cable, but although it works fine for printers but
not
for the software as they key is not recognized.

Any suggestions will help us a lot.
