Dear Confocal members,
Has anyone had a failure of the Leica 40X water dipping objective  (HCX APO
L 40X /0.80 W U-V-I) ?  Ours appears to have glass chips between the first
and second elements. There is no sign of damage to the front element or any
other sign of external damage. We don't think the objective was ever removed
from the microscope since installation.
