Do you have access to lactating rats? I've used post-lactation rat mammary glands. I believe the time period was 2-10 days post-lactation, but am not positive. Send me a personal message if you want me to look up the exact range for harvesting.

Regards,

Subject: positive control for apoptosis

Dear all--

Can anyone suggest a good tissue to use as a positive control for
apoptosis? We've considered liver and testes but as nearly as I can
find from the literature, the proportion of apoptotic cells in those
organs in naive rats is pretty small. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!
