I use these #1.5 Labtek II slides routinely for intracellular FCS 
measurements, without removing the tab. The trick is that you place 
these chambers in the perpendicular direction in your standard holder 
and not in the usual one.

Standard: long side from left to right, if you look over the eyepieces 
on your stage
Labtek II: short side from left to right and long side from the 
eyepieces to the brightfield arm

At least in our standard holders from Zeiss and Leica they fit quiet 
well in that way, the only problem is that you can not use the whole 
area of the outer chambers, because (especially with High NA Zeiss 
objectives) the objective will touch the stage holder.
