Occasionally I just cut a small hole in the end of the reservoir, and
roll the opening around a small o-ring, and use the tip for free acid
calibrations. Or you can use this under a cover glass, but usually a
drop of water on the lens will just stay put as immersion oil does.
 
As for lubricated vs. non-lubricated. The lenses get awfully slippery
when you use the lubricated ones, lubrication immersion lenses can be
hard to catch! :)
 
Some people say I've got a thing for condoms and o-rings! I can't guess why!
