Dear Members of the Confocal List,

I'd like to announce that I have done some remodelling of my WWW page
dedicated to 3-D LSCM and related graphics processing.

I have spiced up the format of the page, and have added new sections and links
to additional free/shareware graphics software for all major platforms (PC,
Mac and SGI/UNIX). Some new things include links to graphics source code,
tips on converting Bio-Rad images (with links to contributions from people on
this list!) and a section providing information about Meetings, Symposia and
Workshops (and other announcements) related to confocal microscopy/biomedical
image processing.

I have now embedded Netscape v.1.1 (beta 3) HTML formatting on all of the
pages to enhance their visual appearance. If you do not use Netscape as your
WWW browser, I would highly recommend it over competing programs (e.g. NCSA
Mosaic.) If you are not using Netscape when you access my pages, things may
look a bit distorted.

You can find out more about the Netscape Web browser at:

        http://home.netscape.com/

I hope that you will all try it! (that is, if you aren't already using it!)

The URL of my WWW page is unchanged:

        http://www.cs.ubc.ca/spider/ladic/confocal.html

Note that this page has about 30KB of graphics images on it -- if you use
Netscape, you will only have to go through loading this page once, as it will
be loaded from your disk cache during future accesses (the same is true for
all other WWW pages, which *greatly* improves WWW browsing speed after the
initial load.) I apologize for the initial long loading times -- if they are
unbearable from your location, please let me know.

I would be most greatful if you could report any problems, bugs, or
suggestions to me. As always, I'd be happy to integrate any contributions
into the Web page (text or images) -- and I always give full credit where
credit is due!

Kind Regards,

--Lance.
