Hello,
In March 11th, I posted a request for any suggestion on the possible cause of
corrosion of the mirror in the slider of the LSM 410. So far, I got only one
response, which suggests leakage from our samples. We routinely use
chamber-coverslips and coverslip-bottom dishes, so that we do not recognize any
leakage from samples. Anyway, I appreciate Dr Tesfai for this comment.
Meanwhile, Zeiss Japan generously offered us new slider free of charge.
We all are grateful to people in Zeiss Japan for this exceptional offer.
Still, this does not mean that they take the responsibility for this trouble.
We are still searching for the cause, since the same trouble might happen again,
even though we started running a dehumidifier 24hrs.
I would appreciate any comments on this matter.
