If possible, could confocalists help me with another problem.
I would like to measure inracellular pH both spectroscopically and
microscopically, but I require a probe that can be bound to a protein molecule
(eg via amino groups). I know FITC is normally sensitive but it appears to
loose its sensitivity when bound to my protein of interest.
Any suggestions for alternative probes are gratefully accepted
