Dear Confocalists,
 
     In response to the request for information on User Meetings, I would
     like to take the opportunity to update the Newsgroup on the 1996
     Bio-Rad programme of meetings. We have just held a very successful UK
     User Meeting in conjunction with the International 3-D Imaging
     Sciences in Microscopy meeting in Oxford, and plans so far for the
     rest of the year are as follows:
 
 
     US              May 23/24    California (UC Irvine)
                     Mid West     To be arranged
                     North East   To be arranged
 
     France          September in Reims
 
     Germany         September - Details to be arranged.
 
     Holland         September in Breda
 
     Spain           September in Madrid (this is a user meeting/workshop)
 
     Japan           October in Nagoya
 
 
     Please contact your local Bio-Rad Sales & Service Office for more
     details.  If you're not sure who to contact then please send a message
     directly to me (not to the group) and I will put you in touch with the
     appropriate person.
 
     We aim to hold meetings at least once per year in all major
     territories. These meetings usually take the form of a number of
     formal presentations, including some from guest speakers and the
     latest news on developments in Bio-Rad Confocal Systems. There is also
     usually a question/answer session. From our standpoint as a
     manufacturer, we regard User Meetings as extremely valuable. The
     feedback we get from our users also indicates that these meetings are
     a valuable opportunity to exchange news, views and ideas and provide a
     useful forum by which our users can be kept up to date with
     developments.
