Hello Everyone (well just the confocalists):

Mark said:
In my experience, if the DiOC18 was applied from the outside to a living
cell, it labels only the plasma membrane, and then gradually starts
appearing in intracellular vesicles by endocytosis

At least I can say that I already thought of that and you confirmed my
speculations.. I also thought about fixation but since the same thing occurred
with live cells, I can be sure that is not the case.

So for any of you: I was looking at a transformed human keratinocyte
cell line (HaCaT) and wondered if there was any chance that this might
(although I can't see it) have had an impact on my observations. I will be
trying other cells soon to see what differences/similarities present themselves.

Thanks guys!
