Kodak, and I am sure other photographic companies sell E6 kits for
"at-home" development of E6 (Ektachrome, etc. ) slides. They work very
well, and you can have dried and mounted color slides in less than 1/2 hr,
if you have a film dryer--rushing. Less than an hour, easily. (Each kit
will do about 6 rolls (more?) of 36 exposure film.)

They also sell kits for Kwhatever (Kodacolor), but then you're left with a
color negative. These can actually be useful in certain instances, such as
making color slides of graphs or line art.
