I have indeed done this with a great deal of success. Admittedly I
did forget the tecvision suplemental software installation which
caused a few problems! The windows didn't update themselves when
changed!
Having been through Win95, to WinNT 3.51 and now on WinNT 4.0, I
would hate to go back to Win3.x! Have to say WinNT4.0 is proving
highly rewarding in the performance of the scanware software ....
scanware even shuts down smoothly when you ask it to now! If you can
afford it, go straight to NT.
Leica wouldn't recognize the pc now, having been upgraded to a 166MHz
pentium with 32 Megs RAM ..... all went smoothly and scanware is
flying!

Hope this helps
