Surely Biorad's own system software does most of this? For labelling
for printing etc I usually convert to tiff or bmp (Confocal Asistant,
free from Biorad, will do this) and use Paint Shop Pro (shareware
from Jasc. Inc.) which does very good text with anti-aliasing. But
you don't seem to require any measurements beyond those which Biorad
themselves offer. (The main things they _don't_ offer are counting
of objects, perimeter measurements and binary operations such as
erode and dilate).
