Dr. DeMaggio,

As you are aware, this issue of sending images over the web is a major
interest in the microscopy community. Would you be interested in writing an
article on your system for Microscopy Today? The pros and cons, and a "How
to" about setting up such a system--what's required, what's not, and what
the pitfalls are?

If you don't get Microscopy Today, it is a trade journal sent free to
microscopists in univerisities, industry, and hospitals. If you would like
a subscription, please send me your preferred mailing address.

Thank you for your attention.

Phil

>Also - via ImageWeb over the netscape, images can be sent to this printer
>from anywhere in the world - making it wonderful for transmitting images
>from one place to another intact. We send images from many different
>departments via the internet all the time. And it is extremely user
>friendly this way. I agree by FTP it is not, but ImageWeb solved that. It
>is secure as well, since each user needs to be pre-configured with login
>and password inorder to use the printer. Connection with Codonics
>troubleshooting is also seamless. Erica Sommers, at Codonics, has helped
>me troubleshoot several times via ImageWeb. It also connects directly from
>our OS/2 machine without a hitch.
