Further information here would be welsome.  I've been told the opposite -
never to stick a label on a CD.  I had understood, but cannot vouch for,
that the reason was that components of the glue might diffuse into and/or
through the varnish layer which protects the recorded layer.  Can anyone
shed some light on this?
