We have the Bioptechs heated stage and objective heater, on a Biorad 600
with an upright Nikon Optiphot2.

The objective heater has been used on its own to maintain cells at 37 C
where the cells were in chambers which wouldn't fit on the heated stage.
Since the objective is the largest heat sink in the system, the objective
heater was the most important part.

It works best on an inverted scope, but since we don't have one (yet) we
fitted it to the 63x objective. We liked it and it kept the cells at 37
just fine.
We used an elastic band around the top part of the heater and objective and
this "high tech" method suggested by Dan worked very well and was "not
messy."
