Hi Felicity,
Apparently, xylene orange is the stain you need (avail. BDH, Fluka,
Sigma, Kodak). Appears to be the same as xylenol orange... Sigma in
Australia have in stock if you can't find a dusty bottle in the histo lab.
BTW, can anyone recommend books / references on stains, that are BETTER than
Staining Procedures by G. Clark. Would that Molecular Probes covered
all the older more traditional and non-fluorescent stains too.........
